Totally Sublime, composed of Marc-Antoine Barbier (Choses Sauvages), Élie Raymond and Thomas Bruneau Faubert (Frais Dispo, formerly Foreign Diplomats), was born from a desire to create by giving oneself carte blanche. Being fans of precise concepts, they imposed certain restrictions on themselves, such as the exclusive use of an old drum machine that belonged to Élie's father as the basis for the recordings of their first eponymous album, offering a very recognizable sound to the project. This first project, released in 2020 and produced as a duo before the arrival of Thomas in the ranks of the group, earned them a nomination at ADISQ in the category of electronic album of the year.
