Stations at Domaine Forget
Louise Lecavalier, choreographer and performer
At the pinnacle of her art, Louise Lecavalier continues her dizzying odyssey. Nourished by the memory of the body, it dances by connecting four stations, like so many cardinal points and successive physical states on the borders of the intimate and the sacred. Always in search of her own truth, alternately in apnea, then possessed by a thundering energy or in almost total immobility, she abandons herself to this body: a pure object of turbulence.
BIOGRAPHY
Extreme, filled with fiery energy, Louise Lecavalier's dance has captivated the imagination of an entire generation. She worked with Édouard Lock and La La La Human Steps from 1981 to 1999, a period of exceptional intensity punctuated by works that have become legendary and scintillating collaborations (David Bowie, Frank Zappa, etc.).
Since the creation of his own company, Fou glorieux, in 2006, his research on movement has been emblematic of his entire career, emphasizing the surpassing of limits and risk-taking, a search for the absolute to bring out the “more-than-human in the human”.
