Maritime family day

All aboard! At a historic shipyard dating back to 1946, relive the epic of the wooden schooners from the boat deck, and set sail in the company of seafaring families for an exhilarating day in the great outdoors!

The Museum is fun for young and old:

  • Train your crew to be schooner builders and sailors with an outdoor escape game in the form of a backpack (backpack rental $25 + tx);
  • Climb aboard 4 historic boats;
  • Live the new immersive Naufrages (shipwrecks) experience;
  • Learn to tie marine knots in the shipyard workshop;
  • Come aboard for 10 minutes and enjoy a multimedia experience in the St-André hold;
  • Become an apprentice captain of a sailing schooner using a video game, and take on the fun challenges of the exhibition Le huitième voyage: à la vitesse du vent (The Eighth Voyage: At the Speed of the Wind);
  • Have fun in the Parc des Navigateurs, with its Hébertism track, plant maze, gazebos and swings;
  • Hike the 4 km mountain trail of the Marine Forest, offering a number of observation points;
  • Top secret! Unmask the site’s spy during a free treasure hunt;
  • Relax and enjoy the picnic areas.

On the first Sunday of every month, admission to the Museum is free for all Quebec residents. Special cultural programming on July 7, August 4 and September 1. Follow us on Facebook.
